SWAG LIGHT HOOK

A swag hook refers to a broader category of hooks, but is essentially the same as a pendant light hook. Swag hooks can be used to hang other things than just lights – things like plants and decorative objects just to name a few.

Installing a swag hook is the same as any other hook that will hang weight from the ceiling.

Swag hooks come in many guises. The most popular but least aesthetically pleasing is the plain brass hook. A cable tie is usually used to secure the electrical cable, keeping the light fitting in place. More decorative swag light hooks can be found, however most will require the cable to be knotted at the hook section so that the light fitting can be secured in place.

The Little Bishop is also a swag light hook. Learn more about it here.
